Background
You can use Freshmarketer for lead generation and marketing campaigns. Below is a brief overview of the main features:
- Lead Management - allows businesses to effectively capture, nurture, and track leads throughout the sales funnel, facilitating efficient lead generation and conversion
- Lead Scoring - synthesize all of the information to automatically qualify and assign scores based on lead quality, allowing you to prioritize outreach and track leads as they move through your marketing and sales funnels
- Automation - create automated email campaigns from scratch and send them to a segmented group of customers and prospects
- Reporting & Analytics - create customised dashboards to actively track your marketing efforts
FreshMarketer Onboarding Checklist
1. Sign up for an account
2. Select your industry
3. Import list of contacts
- Hover over ‘Contacts and Accounts’ on left-hand side and click ‘Lists’
- Click ‘Import Contacts’ and select method of importing
4. Set up initial lead scoring
- Hover over ‘Settings’ icon on and click ‘Admin Settings’
- Under the ‘CRM Modules and Automation’ section, click ‘Contact Scoring’
- Enter both positive and negative signals
- Positive: target country, target industry, Director job title, etc.
- Negative: email bounced, email unsubscribed, etc.

5. Create email footer to use for email campaigns (must be completed prior to sending any emails)
- Hover over ‘Settings’ icon on and click ‘Admin Settings’
- In the ‘Email’ section, Click ‘Marketing Email Footer’
- Enter the company information and click ‘Update’
6. Configure marketing email font and logo
- Hover over ‘Settings’ icon on and click ‘Admin Settings’
- In the ‘Email’ section, Click ‘Marketing Email Configuration’
- Upload a photo of your company’s logo and the change the font colors to preferred colors
- Add social media links for applicable sites
7. Verify your email domain (to reduce chances of spam)
- Hover over ‘Settings’ icon on and click ‘Admin Settings’
- Click ‘Email Sending Domains’ and enter your company’s domain name
- Click ‘Verify Domain’
8. Test lead scoring with initial email campaign
- Hover over the ‘Campaign’ icon and click ‘Email Campaign’
- Select the preferred campaign template or create one from scratch
- Select the list of contacts you’d like to send the campaign
- Click ‘Send Campaign’
9. Monitor campaign results using the Analytics Dashboard and make any necessary adjustments
