Background
- All Tern portfolio companies are highly encouraged to use Predictive Index to understand potential candidates’ behavioural traits and the cognitive ability to learn new things—when hiring for any role.
- The license allows you to test an unlimited number of candidates.
Process
User setup
- Identify the main HR user to be added to Predictive Index
- Once your account is set up, you will be ring-fenced to see candidates under your Company name.
Adding a new job
- Setup a job profile on the Predictive Index tool
- When setting up the profile, the tool will ask you to send the Assessment Link to yourself and other hiring managers. Ideally, you have more than one person in the Hiring Company fillings this out so that there is some calibration on the types of behaviors that is critical for the role to be filled
- At the same time, the tool gives you an unique link to send to potential candidates (see draft email to send to candidates).

Draft email to candidates
In terms of next steps, I would be grateful if you can complete a psychometric and cognitive test by using the link below. The psychometric test takes about 4-5 minutes (untimed) to complete. Once you finish this, you'll receive the link to the cognitive test which takes 12 minutes (timed, 50 multiple choice questions) to complete. Many thanks in advance.
